Intelligence: overview
How OpenFeather turns authorised context into business-oriented answers, what the intelligence workflow produces, and where human judgement still applies.
OpenbirdAI's intelligence layer sits between raw connected data and a decision. It plans the request, retrieves only authorised evidence, and produces a structured answer with citations, comparisons and recommended next steps. It does not replace your judgement.
The intelligence workflow
- Classify the request — what kind of question is this, and does it need external evidence?
- Plan the dependencies — which sources, tools and workspace context are required.
- Retrieve — connected integrations, memory, documentation knowledge or web research, as required.
- Synthesise — produce a structured answer with sources and explicit uncertainty.
- Settle usage and persist the conversation with its evidence.
What intelligence output looks like
- Direct answers for factual questions about authorised data.
- Comparisons and tables when the question is comparative.
- Trends and insights when the question spans a time range.
- Recommendations with the reasoning and the evidence behind them.
- Structured blocks — maps, visual lists, code and maths — when the answer needs them.
Where judgement still applies
OpenFeather can be confidently wrong, particularly when data is incomplete, recently changed, or scope-limited by a provider. The parts of the workflow that are not automated are the decisions: what to trust, what to act on, and what to escalate.
Getting better results
- Ask one question per subject instead of bundling several.
- Give an explicit time range whenever the question spans time.
- Ask for the sources when the conclusion matters.
- Follow up on a specific part rather than re-asking broadly.
Why the same question gets a different treatment
Routing is deterministic from the request itself, so the same phrasing usually takes the same path. What changes is the underlying data: the connected accounts, the time range, and whether a capability is currently available.
- A connection was added or removed.
- The period you named now resolves to different records.
- A capability became available or unavailable for your account.
Common questions
Does OpenFeather decide what is true?
It summarises and interprets authorised evidence. Verification is still your responsibility, which is why citations are always shown.
Why did a broad question get a narrow answer?
Broad questions are ambiguous. OpenFeather answers the most likely reading rather than guessing across several topics.
