getting started

Create an OpenbirdAI account

Create an OpenbirdAI account, complete verification, enter your workspace safely, and recover access without creating duplicate accounts.

· OpenbirdAI documentation

Account creation establishes the identity that protects your conversations, workspaces, integrations and usage. Use an email address you control and complete the verification steps the product shows you.

Create the account

  1. Open the sign-up flow from the home page or the docs header.
  2. Enter your email address and the details the form requests.
  3. Complete any verification challenge shown by the product.
  4. Sign in and land in your workspace.

After signing in

Check three things before you start connecting data:

  • The active workspace shown in the workspace switcher is the one you intend to use.
  • The plans and usage area shows the plan and credit balance you expect.
  • Ask loads normally and answers a general question.

If access fails

Use the sign-in recovery flow rather than creating another account. Duplicate accounts split your history, your connections and your credit balance, and support cannot merge them automatically.

  • Verification email missing — check spam, confirm the address, then request another message.
  • Sign-in rejected repeatedly — clear the session and retry once, then use recovery.
  • Redirected to the wrong workspace — this is a workspace membership issue, not an account issue.

Keep the account secure

  • Use a unique password and do not reuse it from another service.
  • Sign out on shared machines.
  • Revoke sessions you no longer recognise from the account security controls.
  • Never send credentials, tokens or OAuth secrets to support.

Choosing which email address to use

Use the address you will actually work from. If you will run OpenbirdAI for a business, an address on that business domain makes workspace and team administration far simpler later, and it keeps your personal and business activity separable from the start.

Changing the email on an account later is a support request, not a self-service setting, so choosing carefully now avoids the disruption.

If you already signed up with a personal address and now need a business one for team administration, that is a clean break: create the account on the business domain and invite the people you need, rather than trying to migrate the old one.

Common questions

Do I need a card to start?

The Free plan does not require payment details. Plans and billing are described in Plans and Credits.

I created a second account by mistake. Can you merge them?

Accounts cannot be merged automatically. Contact support with both account emails and the reason, and never include passwords or tokens.
