Content Lab
Generate content ideas, hooks, outlines and drafts from verified findings, and review every output before using it.
· OpenbirdAI documentation
Content Lab turns a finding into usable content: ideas, hooks, outlines, scripts and drafts. It is most effective when it starts from something you have already verified rather than from a blank prompt.
This guide describes a capability that depends on the connected provider, the permissions granted to it, and your current plan. If the provider cannot supply the required data, OpenbirdAI reports it as unavailable rather than estimating.
Starting from a finding
- In Ask, produce a grounded finding and check its sources.
- Continue the conversation and ask for content angles based on it.
- Pick the angle you want and ask for a hook, outline or full draft.
- Edit for accuracy and voice before using it anywhere.
text
"Based on that finding, give me five content angles with a one-line hook for each."
"Turn the third one into a 400-word post that opens with a question."What Content Lab produces
- Ideas and angles with hooks.
- Outlines and structures you can fill in.
- Drafts in the length and format you specify.
- Hooks, titles and variations for testing.
Reviewing a draft
- Check every factual claim against a source.
- Remove anything unsupported, even if it is a good sentence.
- Check the tone matches your brand profile.
- Read it once as a customer rather than the author.
A fluent draft can still be factually wrong. Fluency is not accuracy, and OpenbirdAI cannot verify claims it has no evidence for.
Common mistakes
- Asking for "viral" content, which optimises for nothing measurable.
- Accepting a draft that invents statistics to make an argument land.
- Generating volume without a distribution plan.
- Reusing the same generic prompt instead of seeding from a verified finding.
A repeatable workflow
- Ask for a verified finding and check its sources.
- Ask for five angles and pick one that is specific rather than safe.
- Ask for a hook, then an outline, then the draft — reviewing between steps.
- Edit for accuracy, then for voice.
- Schedule it in Smart Calendar if it is part of a plan.
Reviewing between the hook, the outline and the draft costs far less time than rewriting a finished piece that was built on a weak angle.
Common questions
Does Content Lab use my connected data?
It can, when the request requires it and the matching connection exists. Otherwise it works from the conversation and stored brand context.
How long should content drafts be?
Specify the length and format explicitly; the default is a general-purpose draft that you will edit anyway.
